Situation:

The castle is situated on a hill in one of the Rhine's romantic side valleys, from which one can look down on the small town of Burgbrohl.

• 5 km to the A61 autobahn, close to the romantic Laacher Lake and the Romanesque monastery of Maria Laach.
• 33 km to Bonn, 28 km to Koblenz, 7 km to the Rhine (B9).
• Nearby there are medicinal springs, spas, and mineral wells, some of which go back to Roman times.
• The castle was used as a sanatorium at the beginning of the 19^th century.
